i seem to reading that at Colchester he always protected the players in public

even when it wasn't necessarily justified, though there was always the feeling that he let the players know in the dressing room if he thought they'd let him down - no doubt there'll be times when he'll piss a large number on here off with that, but lets hope that's a long way off yet
