Just a couple of other thoughts about this 2-tier Premier League bollocks
Has anyone actually considered:-
Just how many fans would go from, say, Portsmouth or Burnley or Blackburn to Ibrox (Or vice versa) on a wet Tuesday night for a league game? Yes, it's about TV money, but at some point clubs need bums on seats as well.
What exactly would happen the season they implemented this? Never mind 4 teams being relegated from the Premier League (Assuming no promotion from the Championship, rendering the entire competition pointless), but to make an 18-team top flight and 20 team second division, with 2 teams coming in that means 8 teams relegated from the Championship to the rump of the football league. And if they've found a reason to include Rangers and Celtic, why not another "big" club like, say, Leeds?
Barking mad, all of it.
