tonight - that 6 player rule - Wrath of the Barclay

tonight - that 6 player rule

says that we have to "include in the starting line-up at least 6 of the 11 players that have started most often in first team games this season".

so that's 6 of:

Holt (out)
Drury (out)
Lappin (out)
Spillane (out)

Forster
Askou
Wes
Smith
Doherty
Russell
Martin

So, assuming that rule is applied, we can only rest one of those 7 available.

Can't see why we'd play Rudd, in that case, even though Archant are suggesting we will. Personally would prefer to see an outfielder - probably Wesley - rested. And a team something like:

---------------Forster---------------
Askou---Nelson---Doc---Wiggins (if fit)
Daley-----Russell----Smith----McVeigh
-----------Martin-----QD--------------

Or maybe rest Smith and play Welsey.

(Incidentally - if Wiggins isn't fit - who do we play at LB?)
