Was that Prog?

We only had one at school when I wasaround 7/8. It was a a series about stealing birds eggs.
2 young children befriended this old man who was teaching them how bad it was to steal the egss. In the end they found out that it was HIM that had been stealing them & he was arrested.
I remember feeling devastated & have found it difficult to trust anyone ever since.
