Dave Allen. Warm glow of nostalgia.

When you think of it, Dave Allen was quite daring for mainstream tv in those days, wasn't he? That was pre-alternative comedy - when most of it was still Terry and June and Dad's Army. Whereas he used to do quite a lot of personal - and caustic - stuff, if I recall correctly.

Rather surprising he was allowed on BBC 1.
