I know this is a bit silly

but why not register Crichton until January. Have Rudd in goal, then if anything happens (and let's face it we can probably count on teh fingers of one hand how many times we've needed a sub keeper in the last few seasons) we have a totally experienced keeper to call on without incurring any extra expense. We also know it's not too hard to bring in loan keepers so if we're uncomfortable, or if Rudd is off for a while then whisk in the loanee.

I think Askou and Spillane will be our best CB pairing, with a new RB; or a new CB with Spillane RB. Nelson might be okay meanwhile. But I'm afraid that the Doc still flatters to deceive for me.
