fao Worzel Scrimmidge....... re depeche mode......

you couldnt be MORE wrong!!!

most 20-30 year olds JUST about remember the poppy electro synth stuff (just cant get enough etc), all young, nieve simple pop..... great in its day (3 minute pop songs designed for radio 1) BUT the true brilliance in Gahn, Gore and Fletcher shone through after they went to the states for 10 years. The writing was very dark, sombre, deep - almost disturbing, heavily influenced by Gahns Smack addiction......... around about the personal jesus and enjoy the silence phase was my favourite, but recently with playing the angel they also hit form.

ALso, one of the best bands live I've ever seen, and i've seen a few.

There again I'm 40 - so dont expect 20-30 year olds to appreciate my taste in music.
