no not at all

i don't like seeing f**kwittery over an england legend

Beckham has matured, is a great example to his team-mates and, most importantly, he is still a match-winner.

With 10 or 15 minutes to go in a big-tournament game, you can throw Beckham on to take a corner or a free-kick, to chase a winner or an equaliser.

Beckham?s strong point is undiminished. He can still put a ball into the box or take a great free-kick because he is still one of the best - if not THE best - deadball specialist in the world.

But the other factor in Beckham?s inclusion in the World Cup squad would have to be his influence on the rest of the squad.

Beckham has matured into a great example for his team-mates and the sort of figure who players can look up to in the dressing room.

That is so important during a tournament and, despite huge competition for places on the right, Beckham is still worth his place.
