It's a fair question you ask. I suppose the thing that bothers me about the various alternative medicines she takes is that she also goes on and on about them - she's always trying to persuade everyone in the family that they should give some new treatment or other a try.

I think she's gullible, and easy prey for people who just want to make money out of her gullibility. That's up to her, as you say. But I don't like it when I catch her trying to persuade my wife that she or my kids should be spending money on things that are completely unproven.
