I am fairly sure the match wasn't live on actual TV.....
What was captured was a live satellite feed back to the BBC so they could show the game later in the evening after editing.
They can edit highlights of the first half while the second half is being recorded.........
It was a pretty big shock because its rare that such feeds turn up on the web.
