From my perspective...

...my girlfriend is an AFC Bournemouth supporter, so I've seen many games in this league. The four possible outcomes from any game are as follows:

1) You play well and get a result.

2) You play even better and don't get a result.

3) You play badly and get a result.

4) You play even worse and get a result better than you did when you played really well.

One week, you'll beat the top team 6-1. You lose against the bottom team 4-0 the following week.

No single performance or result dictates where you will end up at the end of the season. There will usually be one team that walks the league. For everyone else, nobody, a good run of results can take you from the bottom four to the play-offs in a matter of weeks or vice versa, even towards the end of the season.

Most teams in this league don't know how to win consistently but they all know how to grind out a draw when it matters.

Any team can beat any team. Gillingham are not 'just Gillingham' and Carlisle are not 'just Carlisle'.

Finally, we are in this league because we were not good enough for the Championship. Let's not forget that.
