Thing I like best about him is that he tends to challenge the lazy pundits' received wisdom that the rest of them parrot. You know, every manager who gets sacked is a victim of an impatient board pandering to the fans, and should have been given more time. That kind of thing.

Did you ever him make hilarious mincemeat of Claridge on Friday nights on 5Live? Was carcrash radio sometimes.

But of course Auntie sticks nice, friendly, mostly clueless Spoony next to him, so that Miles the Chelsea fan calling from Twickenham doesn't feel intimidated.
