This Whole Adebayor Thing...

See now that Van Persie is going to be investigated as he might have "mouthed a swearword" in the direction of the Man City supporters!

FFS, where will this end-in the circus, because it is certainly reaching the levels of men in red noses and big shoes.

This smacks of Man City fans, uppity about the stick and the probable punishment that Adebayor is getting, doing a little tit for tat, a little "he started it, no, he did". Its pathetic.

I know its been said-again and again and again...but supporters who have no limits, no boundaries on what they can shout at players (all with thousands of people around them and to hide behind) who then get all self righteous and hurt because a player might, MIGHT, have mouthed -and this is critical, he "mouthed"- a swearword back at them, for the sake of all thats sensible and adult, grow-the-f**k-up!!

The argument that players are "role models for children" doesn't wash with me I'm afraid. No one compels people to go to football matches, no one is forced to go, and they are not there to set an example to children or anyone-maybe they SHOULD-but thats a different manner. A football crowd is no more and no less than what the Romans did in the Colesium et al once upon a time, and what you give out, you should be prepared to take back. I remember when my Dad was at a Norwich game once, he shouted to Ted McDougall "run McDougall, you lazy bastard", McDougall stopped, started at my Dad and said "Fuck off". Dad loved it!
