Talking of Thetford......

i f**king HATE the place...

was based at near by Barnham camp in the 80's, only went out in Thetford twice, 9 months apart, and got into a fight with the same local each time! All cos I was from "out of town!" - the second time he got me (I was 17) was in the Plover pub (thankfully now bull dozed) when he and about 4 mates followed me into the gents, one kept the door closed as the other 3 set on me. No warning, punched from behind, for no reason.

After a good kick in, and after a quick taxi back to Barnahm, a bunch of "colleagues" went back down town once they heard what had happened to me, and apparently put the main culprit in hospital.
