I have a Monthly contract phone & Mrs SWC has a PAYG - both with O2

My screen is Facked and I am in the process of transferring from O2 so will not be getting a new phone off them. Will I be able to use my SIM in Mrs SWC's PAYG phone to retrieve contact numbers etc?
