This is all knee jerk stuff, to an extent - probably bourne from the balloon of optimism (which was inflated by what turns out to be unrepresentative pre-season friendly results) being not just popped, but nuked. It's the death of all hope that actually kills you.

But in truth, we haven't reached that point yet.
