A. check the PageRank of the web.

You may go to google, to download this one for you.
High page rank , reflect the webs traffice. You will know how many people support them .

B. to check shipping way.
There are UPS, DHL, this is are common seeing shipping way. Some Chinese shopping web, may offer EMS.

C. To Check the Payment way

The most safe way is to pay vias our credit card, master cards.
While if for iternational payment way, maybe you coule use Paypal
