I think lots of people probably could do the tactical/talent spotting part of football better than a lot of managers, given the amount of football coverage it is possible to watch on TV these days. What the overwhelming number of people would really really struggle with though is the pressure of the job and the nightmare that it must be to deal on a daily basis with the overgrown kids that are modern professional footballers
