finding a better partner for Ashton wouldn't be my first priority, but that's only because we have such massive gaps elsewhere on the pitch. If we really wanted to be contenders for automatic promotion, I think we'd need a better strike force, but only after we had a decent defence and a proper midfield.

I think we basically agree. Except that you seem to think the current squad is capable of going on a fantastic run any moment now. I can't see it.
