again i agree, it certainly doesn't help, i think most successful squads are settled squads, everytime we change manager we have a massive turnover in player numbers while they bring in 'their' people, pay off all the deadwood, spend out on transfer fees and agents' fees to get the new players in, only for them to become the new deadwood we pay off to get rid of them, each time we get skinter and skinter and we fall further down the league.

the number of loans we had last season could've worked to our advantage this season - none to pay off, clean(ish) slate for a new proven(ish) manager to start with

i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the new season, but given our manager anything above mid table ought to be seen as ok (although it isn't where any of us would ever want to be), sadly i think too many fans will still be expecting us to walk this division
