An excellent institution
I'm coming to the end of my second OU degree (the first for career development, this one for interest) and doing the Certificate in Web Design as well. The quality of the courses is excellent, right up there with the traditional universities like UEA and materials are very well written,particularly those that have recently been revised.
Tutors are generally excellent (only really had one duff one) and there is massive support online now. Tutorials for higher level or less popular courses can be difficult to get to. Most of mine recently have been in Cambridge and run to a time on Saturday when I'd normally be in the County Hall car park. My priorities are clear.
There are short 10 point courses you can take to get a feel for whether the approach suits you (it doesn't work for everyone) and you can even pay fees using Tesco clubcard vouchers.
Only down side is the mandatory kipper tie.
