It was a long time ago and didn't have all the niceties that other browsers have
and wasn't any faster than FireFox. FireFox 2 became a big bloated mess; but FF3 is much better and I'll try out 3.5 soon. Surfing is frankly impossible these days without being able to block ads and selectively switch on & off Javascript & Flash. The other thing with all things Google is that you practically turn over your life to them when you use their apps; but maybe I'll give Chrome another go too if it's matured.
