Klobo - and other AVG users
Klobo posted a techie help question yesterday about AVG - the new version (8.5). He ended up with an AVG toolbar, as the install has one of these tick boxes encouraging you to download/install the AVG toolbar, which is really a Yahoo thing. And mostly s**t and very annoying.
Today we had an AVG 8.5 upgrade and Mrs KC clicked the wrong button and I ended up with the AVG toolbar and every time I opened up a new window seemed to add itself to the search option.
The only way I could work out how to zap the bastard was to completely uninstall AVG, then reinstall it without ticking said box.
If there's a cleverer way of doing, I couldn't find it.
It's s**t and I'm not impressed with AVG.
