If it needed the cash it should never have made the offer. But of course it made the offer so it could boast about its great fan base. It's totally emotional in the way it's been done; it's been designed to make fans feel guilty despite the fact that they are paying a fairly hefty sum anyway to the club. Bad budgeting and management don't deserve rewards.
