in the interviews I've seen, he strikes me as a player who fancies himself quite a bit - wouldn't be surprised if actually he's very reluctant to leave the prem, but was / is hoping that once Brum accepted a 2m bid, another prem club would come in for him. Which apparently they haven't, yet at least.

would also not be surprised if, of the three relegated clubs, we're last on his wish-list, but we're offering him the most cash. Which presumably would make his decision a bit trickier.
