Possibly hardware issues. My (old and s**t) laptop's wifi hardware won't do WPA

and it can't be flashed to support it - it's basically too old and rubbish. Great for WEP but can't do WPA.

If the DSes wifi hardware is similar, it wouldn't be able to do WPA either.
