Happens every year doesn't it? We never seem to get anyone in from the end of May and into June, result is that everything is done in a rush and 3-4 new faces suddenly arrive, say "hello" and end up starting games before they know who their new team mates are (Simon Charlton said when he joined up with the team in Malaysia last summer and made his debut, he didn't even know the names of some of his new teammates!), not only that, yes, we panic buy, if ever there was a case of that, then it is/was Clinton Morrison.

Is he using us to up the ante, just as Primus did? Wouldn't surprise me. I would say to a player that has had the Colney treatment and been to the club, even agreed terms that, if you still feel you need to go and talk to someone else after all that, then forget it.

Presumably that isn't practical in todays football environment?
