well i disagree about it being down to labelling
with aspirin the active ingredient/agent has been able to be identified and extracted (or a similar compound is manufactured)
presumably similar happens with the active ingredient in arnica
my guess is that a true herbalist would suggest that the herb as a whole is a better treatment, whereas convential medicine would say that it's only the active part/chemical that's needed
