Just been to see Jarvis Cocker...

Utterly tremendous! I heard the new album for the first time this afternoon after it arrived in my letterbox yesterday. It's very 70s - veering from Marc Bolan to Motown with a bit of Felt thrown in for good measure and I could tell some of the songs were going to kick ass live. I wasn't disappointed, although "Fat Children" from the first album blew everything else away! Well, at least until the final encore "You're In My Eyes" stole the show. While damn good the album version doesn't do the live version justice. Gig of the year!
