Emergency Board Meeting?

IF that is the case...

It would imply to me that Worthy has quit.

He has been vehement and very public about Ashton not leaving, not being for sale, and has added that he wants everyone to stop talking about and/or speculating about it.

He wants him here, and is not interested in losing him.

If the Board decides to accept an offer, then they may have gone over Worthy's head, if that was the case, he may feel he has no option other than to resign, especially if he has previously been told that Ashton needn't be sold, and, presumably, that Morrison would play along side him.

How would Worthy feel? From Ashton and Morrison to McKenzie and Thorne, and still expected to get promotion? Would you want to hang around?

Personal speculation of course, but "emergency" board meeting doesn't smack much else to me other than a manager leaving.
