Any Geeks in please? Got a prob with my mouse(s)

Afternoon all. The other day my wireless mouse threw an eppy and stopped working - the prob was with the mouse, I'm sure, as its little 'working' light went red and the light underneath just flashed constantly.

So I put in my old wireless mouse which announced that it was working, but the pointer wouldn't move at all. I reloaded drivers, reset it, all the stuff you're supposed to do, but the pointer still wouldn't move.

Deciding that the old mouse must be goosed too, I went and bought a new one. This assures me it's working, but my pointer still won't move. I'm forced to use the sodding touchpad.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
