The way to get investment into the club

Is for delia and MWJ to give their shares away in return for a promise of investment. There is a precedent for this with Wolves where Jack Hayward sold his controlling interest for ?10 in return for a promise from buyer steve morgan to invest 30m over a future period.

Of course it is rough taking a 10m hit, but the reality is that what one pays for shares has no relevance to their future value.

It is also the case that Delia and MWJ would still be worth 30- 40m. They don't strike me as a couple who long for private jets or yachts in the south of France, they don't have children, so in effect it would have no bearing on their standard of living.

They may actually enjoy their football more without the terrible burden of having the hopes and disappointments of tens of thousands of fans to worry about.

They would then leave as people who failed because of some terrible management decisions but who gave generously and tirelessly for the cause.
