If as you say

no fault attaches to Worthington. Then WHOSE fault is it:
1. That didn't sign Cooper - and if you went yesterday you'll know that he would have contributed far more than the inept Marney
2. That we were tactically inept yesterday
3. That we spent a small fortune on Doherty
4. That we have FOUR international goalkeepers, but no-one who can play right midfield.
And if none of this is Worthington's fault then what exactly what is he that he does? Every manager reaches a point when, however good they have been they run out of steam. We saw it with Saunders, Bond, Brown and Stringer. For me we reached that point with Worthington in the first two or three months of this year. Rather than give him 2 million to spend on yet another striker if I were the board I'd hang to it.
