Potentially very exciting. But playing wingbacks is tough on the guys asked in that role. But it does find a role in the team for Huckerby. He will naturally drift left, so that we have width. And if one other striker drifts right, then we will have width there too. It may work...Worth a try when all else is failing. But I just don't see Worthington changing from 4-4-2 or the 4-3-3 we've tried a few times when we won the Championship.

I think what we need to do is to play 4-4-1-1 with Huckerby playing a free role behind Ashton. Let Huckerby drop deep, and have a free role, pick up the ball deep, and run at the other team. Use width to put crosses in for Ashton, with Hux and a mid breaking forward to support the crosses. And the long ball option to Ashton is always available, with Hux picking up the second ball (in theory anyway!).
