Exactly. I have sympathy with both sides of this

Lewis needed to play, wasn't going to get ahead of Marshall.

So his value is due to having the opportunity to improve by playing proper competitive games.

However, from the sounds of it I don't think the lad was dealt with very well.

The other option would have been to loan him rather than sell him, but then would posh have wanted him on a season loan?
What would have happened if he'd broken his leg during it and never played again?

Bird in the hand in the end i suppose, except it seems we may have had 4 or 5 in bush rather than 2.
