Other examples

Don't think any of Sheff Utd, Burnley, PNE, Swansea or Brizzle City live beyond their means or have wealthy benefactors: they're just well run and made the right managerial decisions. Watford were in huge strife, but got Boothroyd's replacement right; Coventry and Derby do have rich owners, Forest don't (I think), Sheff Wed are at last properly run after years of misery. Wednesday's example gives us cause for hope, I think.

Lower down: I don't think Leeds have spent more they can afford under Captain Birds Eye; Scunny, Tranmere and Sarfend certainly haven't. TBH, my conclusion would be that rich donors clearly play a part in some clubs; but at Championship level and below, being well run and making the right decisions is just as if not more important. For example: Steve Morgan may be filthy rich, but have Wolves lived beyond their natural means under him? They have a very young side, so I doubt it.
