thing is

you don't have to be 'green' or an animal lover to be a proponent of good food. Personally i'd prefer to eat an animal that's been raised in abject misery but has a bit of f**king taste to some of bernard matthews' s**t, even if it's free range or organic. Fact is, better living conditions and environmental history normally coincide with better quality food. But they are not the same thing.

I'd have said
'he knows how to cook and he is promoting that to the majority of his generation who don't have a clue, so that's a good thing. trying to change school dinners is a case in point. But he doesn't understand the notion of 'finesse' in the kitchen and he certainly isn't a chef -naked or not.
