Attn Cheltenham Canary
I mainly (on this board and TWTD) "lurk" these days !
I don't think that it would be a good idea for you to go into Admin these days because of the 10 point rule. We were lucky that it happened to us before that came into force.
However relegation might not be such a bad thing. If you stay up and Delia is not prepared to invest more money I am sure that you will end up trying to survive with a bunch of journeyman pros (like Fat Alan) and loan signings. It will be very painful for a year or two. If you go down then you could afford to give a good young manager a chance (Gunn is surely a temp measure) and bring on a number of youngsters that could be moulded into a team for the future.
Makes me laugh how we have some fans who think that we will be in the Champions league in three years !! . I know the club needs the money but I actually hate the Premiership .....you get thumped at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield , the press and Sky patronise you as "plucky" etc , you sign a bunch of Carlos Kickaballs who don't give a jot about your club and you fight a relegation battle every season .....Oh and they make you play games on a Monday night against Bolton .
