at the start of this season i'd have been content with a lower-mid finish

say between 17th and 20th, now that's still a s**t season that would have contained more losses than wins, but given where we finished last season i'd have taken it without much in the way of complaint (and i will next season should we stay up).

if we go down, anything less than challenging for automatic promotion and being in the play-off positions all season long will be viewed as failure, by whatever manager we have in, by the majority of fans - sadly (and perhaps illogically) i think that will be the harder to achieve of the two
