That's totally ok I think on loads of levels (ie, it's work, and an acceptable rule when agreed by everyone)
I've never had a problem with mates of mine talking to each own in their own language, it's cool. It can be annoying if when they do it to disagree with you, so they change language with each other to slag someone off in the convo. I've seen that happen a few times when we're out. Or when they don't want you to know something, they talk about it in their language as a safe way of you not hearing
I always accepted that, so I can totally see why you'd have it implemented in a work place, to avoid a lot of trouble
That caller though. Had to be the funniest thing I've ever heard though, and that's somebody assumingly thinking that's their polite views on the subject. In the pub the real stuff probably comes out and is probably not even worth thinking about
