I sent him a special pack up to Colney last week - it was returned with this note -
"I cannot fault the effort and commitment you have shown in preparing this for me, and whilst the result wasn't to my liking, you can take a lot of positives from the way you prepared and then worked to produce what you have, notmean. If you stick together and show the sort of spirit you have today, I'm sure you will not be too far off by the time the next "Overblown Lunch Menu of The Year" awards come around.
