i was at Villa Park that day

Great day , sun shining , first ever FA Cup semi , We were in great voice with the inflatable canaries everywhere , stood on a packed Holte end ( with Arganth amongst others ) , we were gutted to lose to a really strange goal ( never seen it since )

Bit of trouble outside afterwards , back on the coach , radio on , shock and disbelief completely

One thing that I have never understood , we were in a pub in Nuneaton at 1245 and a policeman came in and said , if you are going to the cup semi , leave now otherwise you won;t get there , we did as he said and were at Villa at 1.45 in ground just after 2 , why did the Liverpool fans leave it so tight to get in - especially as they had been there the year before and moaned about overcrowding then
