but surely the point of this board

is to say when players are useless and praise them when they're not. Gow was abysmal against Blackpool, and abysmal against Preston. He was also great against Cardiff etc etc.
It's not quite the same as booing a player off the pitch, or booing a player when their name is read out pre-match.
Or should we all say 'fantastic performance boys' when we've just had a tonking in the pouring rain.
