But why a striker?

Now Worthy wants 2 players for every position. We can all argue over whether players are good enough - that's a matter of opinion... but surely we can agree on how many players we have got?!

For example: rate them or not, we do have 8 defenders, 2 for each position (Colin, Shacks, Flem, Drury or MLJ, Doc, Charlton, Brennan) plus players like Hughes who can play there.

We also have 4 strikers, if you count Hucks as a backup striker, and ignore Hendo, McV and Jarvis.

But who is cover on the right side of midfield? Who is cover in centre midfield where we only have 3 recognised players?

So although I think Morrison is a good player and I'd love to see him here to push Leon and the others... I'm surprised were spending the Francis money on a striker, something doesn't add up.

Either a) one of the current strikers IS going or b) we're still going to sign another midfielder.

And that's before we even talk about defnece, although as I say, Worthy may think that's okay, whatever we think....
