I think it's a backward step.
Don't you guys want to see the club progress? Yes, Hucks is a legend. Yes, he was great in his time here. Yes, he should have been given a heroes depature - and didn't get it.
But I honestly don't think he's good enough anymore. His final season here was hardly a stellar one was it? And he'll have had a full season of playing in a poor league as well. Why should be pay a decent wage to someone who can only be used as an impact sub?
And for what it's worth, I think Hoolahan gets better with every game. I think he'll be a key player for us next season.
