I know

no apologies though.

There's lots of griping and blubbing about the acts announced so far but I think people are missing the whole point with this festival - it never was primarily
a music event - the amount of abuse FR are getting on the forums is pathetic. If you want a hardcore 'music' festival - go to one like V (Which I am, and will love right off as well).

I think maybe they're trying to combat the younger comelatelies who bandwaggoned it last year because of the likes of Franz Ferdinand etc etc.

They'll be loads of good stuff on in the Uncut I reckon - and there's so much more than just the music there - that's the whole point of Latitude!

It's funny that people seem to think they have 'an instant right' to be fans of acts announced or indeed, that FR have missed their 'target audience' with the acts announced so far. Target audience?

Latitude's line-ups have NEVER been able to be labelled or pigeon-holed as appealing to ONE target audience - there has in, all three festivals so far, been diversity and a real mix - that's the whole point!

I think some people are misunderstanding the Latitude idea totally.

BANG!
