Today, an age ago,
little old Norwich won the Milk Cup.
Of course that 'glorious' side went on walkabout for the rest of the season, resulting in relegation.
I ask, would that failed managerial team have survived in this day and age, and go on to build a top-6 side?
And I also ask, would Messrs Woods, Watson & Bruce have shown the same loyalty today or would they have been heading out of Colney the minute Coventry scored their fourth against Everton reserves?
Footy has moved on, and those who hark back to the heady days of 1985 and think things can be the same are just not being objective.
Happy Anniversary, NCFC.
