Worthy isn't stupid, if Deano said to him that "Leon has to go or I'm off", then it's obvious what Worthy's action would have to be. Get rid of Leon.
If he let Ashton go, the board would be slated and the whole fan-base would turn against the club. If we sign a replacement BEFORE we let Leon go, Worthy has some breathing space.
