I like Hucks a lot.

But would he have really made a difference to our defensive woes this year.

He played in our amazing championship year.

But also played in the later years when we frankly were not very good.

Earnie scored for fun yet we were still in the bottom half of the table.

I think its very easy to overvalue the effect of one player.

Hucks himself pointed out under Grant how poor as a squad we were.

Hucks wages probably contributed to the bloated wage structure we have today at the club compared to other clubs with less turnover.
