Do you not think this could be damaging to football as a whole.

I have no love of united, in fact this sunday will be the first time i can remember where i actually want them to win, but i honestly think this is a bad thing for british football.

This yank obviously is only doing this for profit and the area where the biggest profit can come from is tv revenue. If we get to a situation where clubs arrange their own deals then this would only create even more discrepancy between the haves and the have nots.

I know that the end product may mean united and other top clubs leaving the premier league and joining some european super league, but i would be sad to see that happen as for me this would be the final death knell of football as we know it.
